About Utility survey
Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). We run this site and pass each enquiry to relevant measured survey firms covering the enquirer's area.
Why this site exists
We read 21 providers' own pages on 28 October 2026 and only 4 of them print a figure, so the only way to see the spread is to read all of them and show the working. That is what this site is: one table, every source named, dated.
Who it is for
Anyone about to buy this service who wants to know what it costs before they ask, and who would rather see the published prices than a range somebody made up.
What is on this site
One question, "utility survey", answered with a quote form that works on the page with no account, 5 guides on the questions around it, a data table you can cite (the figures and their method), and the sources every figure rests on.
- Utility Survey Price Index: every published figure: Every provider we read that publishes a figure for utility survey, what it publishes, and the day we read it. 4 of 21 read.
- Who publishes a price, and who makes you ask: 4 of 21 providers read for utility survey publish a figure. These are the ones that do not.
- Utility survey cost: what UK surveyors publish in 2026: Utility survey cost in the UK: published PAS 128 detection survey prices start from £450 to £1,200, read off the surveyors' own pages.
- GPR survey: how ground penetrating radar finds buried services: A GPR survey uses ground penetrating radar to find buried pipes and cables. What it finds, what it misses, and what UK surveyors publish for one.
- PAS 128 survey: the quality levels, and when you need one: A PAS 128 survey is the UK specification for finding buried utilities. The quality levels D, C, B and A, what HSG47 asks before digging, and NUAR.
What it does not do
- No ranking, no best-of list and no scores: the table is sorted by the figure, not by us.
- No paid placement, no affiliate links and no sponsored rows.
- No invented figure: a provider that publishes nothing is listed as publishing nothing.
Who answers for it
Joseph Ellul-Turner, the person who runs this site.

Utility survey is a free introduction service operated by Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). We pass your details to relevant measured survey firms covering your area, who quote you directly; we may receive a fee from them, and you pay nothing and are under no obligation. We do not do the work ourselves. It carries no advertising, no sponsored placement and no affiliate links, and no provider in the table has paid to be there or can pay to be removed. Every figure is read from the named provider's own public page on the date shown and is what that provider advertises, not a quote for your job. Prices move; check the source before you rely on a row.
